Snow Day!

Well, it finally happened! It snowed here and we ALL were able to stay home and enjoy it! Daddy was off of work so Brylee and I were going to spend the day with him already, but mommy was able to stay home since her school was called off too! I was so excited when I looked outside that the first thing I asked mom when I woke up was if I could go outside and play with my new sled! I had to wait awhile but finally the time came! Daddy and I went out to the backyard and I took my first spin in my sled and wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be...but then I went for a ride with daddy and I was hooked! Mommy bundled Brylee up and she was able to join us for a little sledding too! I played outside all morning and then again after nap...what a GREAT day! We even made a snowman that was standing on his head...but he fell when the temperatures started to rise! All in all it was a super day!

Look who is pulling up as well as crawling! Brylee started to pull up on things about 3 weeks ago and now that is pretty much what you will find her doing! There isn't anything around that she is not able to pull up on! She is growing and changing each and every day...soon she will be walking everywhere! Our baby isn't going to be around much longer!

Mommy's school had their skating party, so we thought we would all join them and see how things went. I was in love the moment I walked in the door and I could not wait to lace up some skates of my own! Daddy went and got some skates for me and had the wheels tightened so that they wouldn't roll too freely, but I knew right away that those wheels were suppose to roll...so we went and had them loosen them all of the way and WOW was a I crazy noddle on skates! Mom and dad had to help me around the rink while one of mommy's old students mom held Brylee for us. I LOVED skating and definitely did not want to stop! We skated for quite awhile and I was awfully sad when it was time to head home. I really cannot wait until we can go back again! What a fun thing to do!

Brylee is on the move and nothing that I own is safe! While I was really excited at first to see her move from one room to the next, the excitement quickly died when I saw her going for my babies and my train track! She loves to be where ever I am and thinks that it is pretty funny to grab what I am playing with. Not so funny if you ask me! While there have been a few bumps in the road with Brylee's new found freedom, overall I do think that it is pretty cool cause that just means she is one step closer to actually being able to play with me! She mostly does the worm when she moves around but more and more she is crawling on her hands and knees! She is getting way to big to fast, but we are all enjoying every moment!

New Years!

We headed down to Branson to have our Christmas with Grammy, B-pa, Brent, Cortney, Cooper, and Ella. We also stayed and celebrated New Years there too. When we got there on Friday, it didn't take long for all of us to want to start tearing into the mountain of presents that were under the tree! So we all took our turn opening gifts. I finally opened by Baby Alive, something I have been looking at, at the store for a loooong time now! Brylee loved her elephant that blows ball from his trunk. After opening gifts, we all headed outside to enjoy the weather! It was so warm and sunny the whole time! Brylee and I were again spoiled rotten with all of our wonderful gifts...we are lucky to have such great families that love us to much! The rest of the weekend, we all played together outside, went for walks around the golf course, and wreaked havoc on everyone around us! It was another great weekend! Thanks again everyone for making Christmas so special!

We spent this Christmas in Iowa at Grandma and Grandpa Good's house. I was so excited to see that Scout my elf even made it to their house to spend the last few days with me! Christmas Eve, I baked cookies and made sure that I left plenty for Santa to eat. Before bed, we all went outside to feed the reindeer, I knew Rudolf would be hungry too! I was so excited to find that the cookies were gone and so was my reindeer food. Sadly one other thing was gone too...Scout left and went back to the North Pole with Santa...that was a little hard for me to understand, but he left me a note saying that he would be back next year. I sure did love having that little guy around! We opened presents that morning and I finally got a train set! My cousin Cooper has A LOT of trains and I have been wanting one for quite awhile now. I actually didn't get only one set this Christmas, I got 3 different sets and 3 trains! Brylee had a great time playing with the boxes and the wrapping paper. Actually we both had a great time playing with the paper! We had a great Christmas! Thanks for everything Grandma and Grandpa!

Mom and dad keep talking about this Santa guy that is suppose to be coming to my house at night while I am sleeping...they say he leaves presents, but I am not buying it at all! I actually told them that Santa can keep my presents, that I had plenty. But they still wouldn't listen and they insisted that we were going to see him. They did tell me that I did not have to talk to him or even go near him, they wanted Brylee is sit with him for her first Christmas. So we went to see the ole guy. I wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with him at all! I kept my distance and chose to not even look his way. Brylee sat on his lap and had a picture taken with him. As we were getting ready to head home, I took it upon myself to walk up to Santa...I just had to see what all of the fuss was about! He wasn't as bad as I first thought, so i gave him a high five and moved on...I still was not going to sit on his lap. But hey I got close to him this year!

We cannot believe that Brylee is already 6 months old! Time is going way to fast and she is growing and changing each and every day! She still continues to be a very sweet and passive little love bug! She isn't quite and cuddly as she use to be now that she is on the move. She is sitting up and pulling herself around like a little worm. There isn't much that she cannot get to! Kalee's toys are no longer safe and she is going to have quite the eye opener soon when Brylee is into ALL of her stuff! We have truly been blessed with two amazing little girls. We love you to pieces little Brylee Bug!

We headed to Nebraska this weekend to visit with Great Grandpa and Gigi while they were back in town. This was the first time for them to meet Brylee and it had been quite awhile since they had seen me as well. We had a great time visiting with them and they loved on both of us! They couldn't believe how active I was and how I never stop talking and how Brylee is so quite and passive! We had a great time visiting and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

We had a GREAT time in Branson this Thanksgiving! We all went to Silver Dollar City on Wednesday to see all of the Christmas light and to ride the train and listen to the Christmas story. The weather was pretty good and didn't get to cold until right at the end. There were a lot of people there, but we were still able to see everything we wanted to see and really didn't have to wait in lines for anything. This summer I will be tall enough to go on some of the rides! I cannot wait...at least I think so. We all hung out at the cabin on Thanksgiving just lounging and relaxing. We started the morning with putting up Grammy and B-pa's HUGE Christmas tree! B-pa has always wanted a TALL tree and he finally has a house that can hold one! The tree looked beautiful once finished and put us all in the Christmas spirit. We had a wonderful dinner followed by some Bocce Ball. The weather couldn't have been more perfect for playing outside and running around on the golf course. Friday and Saturday we all just hung out as well. It was a very easy going weekend, but I think everyone had a great time and enjoyed just being around the family for the start of the holiday season. I cannot wait to head back down to the cabin for New Years!

We traveled to Iowa to attend a wedding for mommy's really good friend! Brylee stayed at home with Grandma and Grandpa Good and I went with mommy and daddy and partied the night away! I LOVED watching the "princess" walk down the aisle and was in awe every time she came around! Once the music started, there was NO stopping me! I was quite a hit and pretty much everyone knew who I was by the end of the night! I was also always right in the center of it all. It was such a great night and I had so much fun! Congratulations Brett and Emily!

We all ventured down to Branson once again! This time we all met and had family pictures done. Amazingly enough, all 4 kids cooperated and we were able to get pictures done within an hour! It was a beautiful night to go Trick-or-Treating! I had so much fun and have so much candy, I am not sure what I am going to do with all of it! Brylee had a great time riding in the stroller and even took a little snooze on the way. I walked out whole neighborhood and then decided that I wasn't quite ready to be done, so we went to a neighborhood next to us and hit a few more houses!

Grammy and B-Pa came up last weekend and we went to the pumpkin patch! We were not sure if I would be able to go or not, since I was at home with mom and dad all week because I had pneumonia! But thankfully the medicine kicked in and I was good as new by Saturday! It was a beautiful fall day and we all enjoyed getting out and getting some fresh air. I brought a pumpkin home with me and I insist that it is suppose to live inside with us :) Thanks for a great weekend everybody!

Not a whole lot has gone on around here the past two weeks. We have been enjoying the beautiful weather that we have been so lucky to have! We have played outside a lot, went to the park quite a few times and went for some evening walks too! We all love this time of year! Brylee is rolling over and scooting around on her back, so you are just never quite sure what position she will be in when you walk back into the room! She started to try food and cereal this week. She didn't really care for the cereal at all, but didn't seem to mind the applesauce. My creativity and imagination continues to grow with each day that passes and I am constantly cracking mommy and daddy up! Here are a few random pictures :)

Weekend at the Cabin

We decided to go down to the cabin for a relaxing weekend. B-pa and Grammy were there and so was Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper and Ella...while there was always something to do, it was definitely a relaxing time! Friday we didn't get there until later and when we arrived they had a fire in the fire pit and were hanging out. We quickly joined in...it was perfect! Saturday morning we all got up and the kids went for a walk with B-pa and Grammy around the old golf course. I love going for walks down at the cabin. That day we also played outside with our strollers, threw rocks, went in the hot tub 2 times, played washers, and enjoyed the beautiful weather! The weekends always go by too fast, but we will be heading down there again at the end of October. Thanks everybody for such a GREAT weekend! We all had soooooo much fun!

We cannot believe that our little lovebug is already 3 months old! She is growing and changing each and every day. She is quite the talker in the morning and then again in the evening after her bath! She has started laughing out loud and is ready to roll over! We had her doctors appointment last Friday and she is weighing in at 12.8 lbs, which is the 61%. She was 23.25 inches long being in the 50th percentile for that. The doctor said that she was healthy as can be and right on track. He also mentioned how strong she was and how much control she had. Time is going by way to FAST!!!!

The circus came to town and we all went on Friday night! I am always pretending to be a Ring Master when I am at home, so mom and dad thought that it would be fun to take us to the circus! I was so excited all day long that I couldn't talk about anything but the circus all day long! When we finally got there and were waiting in line I told mommy that the circus was sooooo much fun...little did I know that the circus was actually inside and we were merely standing in line! HA! I don't think that my eyes could have gotten any bigger than they were when we first walked to our seats! It was amazing! I smiled the whole circus and did a pretty good job watching the whole 2 and 1/2 hours! My favorite act was the trapeze artists and of course the elephants! I also thought that the bike riders in the globe were super cool too! The final act was an act done on trampolines and I don't think I moved or blinked through the whole act. Brylee was not feeling the best that night since she had to get 3 shots right before we left for the circus. She fussed for a lot of it, but then finally decided that sleeping was a much better option. What a GREAT night and wonderful memories! I can't wait to go again someday!

I LOVE this weather! This weekend Grandpa and Grandma Good came down to visit. We just hung out on Saturday watching football and playing with my toys. Sunday was an absolutely perfect day with the weather being sunny and cool so we headed out to Red Barn Farm. It was just right for looking at the animals and running around in the sunshine. I saw chickens, geese, rooster, pony, and goats. I was not a huge fan of touching them, but finally mustered up the courage to touch the goat...he felt like my puppies do! Brylee enjoyed the farm to...but she just had to hang out in her stroller, soon she will be running around just like me! I sure hope this weather stays around for awhile! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as we did!

My week at Grammy and B-pa's!

I stayed a whole week at Grammy and B-pa's house! I did a really great job the first two days, but then I started to miss mommy and daddy...but I was so busy that I didn't have much time to be sad! I was able to do a little swimming, but not too much since the water cooled off quite a bit and for the simple fact that I am really not that into water. I did get to go on a walk every morning with Grammy and at the end of the walk, we always ended up at a park and I was able to swing and slide for a loooooong time! B-pa had to work during the day but him and I played a lot once he was home from work. I went up to Grammy's school a few days and played with all of the toys that were there while Grammy was getting a few things ready for the new school year. We also did a little shopping while I was there too! On Thursday, Mommy and Brylee came to Grammy house while Daddy, B-pa and Uncle Brent went away for a guys weekend. We did A LOT of shopping once mommy was in town! We also had fun going out to eat and playing outside. I got a t-ball set while I was there and mommy and I played a lot of baseball in the evenings. I have a pretty mean swing and can hit the ball really far too! On Saturday, Brylee turned 2 months old, so mommy had a little fun with the camera and took some pretty good pictures of the both of us. I was also able to jump on a trampoline that day too! It was so much fun, I sure wish I had one of my own at my house! (hint, hint) Saturday night, we went to visit Bob, Nancy, Jayme and Tom. They are Grammy and B-pa's neighbors and mommy grew up with their daughter. I sure liked Bob and made sure that he didn't get to far out of my sight! The summer is coming to an end and I get to start at a new school while mommy has to go back to work too! I had a lot of fun this summer, but I am really excited to school too!

This weekend we all traveled to St. Charles to visit Grammy and B-Pa! We had a great time Saturday swimming all day long! I was a pretty brave girl when it came to getting into the pool and figured out how to kick my feet to move myself through the water! I still like having someone close to me, but it was a definite improvement from last year when I didn't really like the pool at all! I did learn a few good lessons on why it is important to always have my jacket on, but live and learn right!?! Saturday night, we all went to one of mommy's friends house and there were a lot of kids there for me to play with! It was fun getting to see all of her friends and their families too! Mommy, daddy, and Brylee all went back home on Sunday and I got to stay with Grammy and B-pa for the week! Mommy will be back on Thursday and Daddy is going with B-pa and Uncle Brent for a guys weekend away. I can't wait to see what fun things I get to do all week!

This past weekend, Grandpa and Grandma Good and Uncle Brandon came to visit! We celebrated daddy and Uncle Brandon's birthday's and we had to say good-bye to Uncle Brandon too. He had to go back to Alaska for the year. I had a great time going shopping at the Legend's, going out to eat, and even finally getting to play outside for a little while! It was great seeing everyone and I really really enjoyed having Uncle Brandon spend the night for one night!

Well, mommy put me through potty training boot camp and it is finally starting to happen! I am pretty much potty trained and have gone a few weeks now with only 2 or 3 accidents total! I stay dry all night and all nap too! I am not fond of public bathrooms, so that is still a challenge, but overall I am doing a great job!

This past weekend, we traveled to Iowa and we all went to Summerfest! I had a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa too! On Saturday, we all packed up and headed to the parade! It was my first parade and I thought that it was pretty cool! I really liked to watch all the girls that were dancing go by! My favorite part was probably the girls that were tumbling! It is definitely time to get me into gymnastics! After the parade and a nap, we went back to Summerfest and I got to ride on some fun carnival rides! I LOVED the merry-go-round and the big slide! I tried the roller coaster, but was scared to death and had to have the ride stopped so that I could get off! Now when I see a picture of the roller coaster, I make sure everyone around me knows that I did not like it! After Summerfest, the 4 of us went to visit one of daddy's friends and his new baby girl Ava. Ava was born a few weeks before Brylee! I had a great time in Iowa this weekend! Thanks for everything grandma and grandpa!

The 4 of us took our first road trip together! We packed up and headed down to Branson to stay at the cabin with Grammy and B-pa. It was a VERY hot weekend so there was not a whole lot that we could do for long periods of time, but we sure had a great time. We did some shopping, went out to eat, played outside in the little pool, and went for long walks with B-pa! We wanted to go and see fireworks on Sunday, but as soon as we got to the place where they were going to shoot them off, a storm came through and had us running for cover! I was pretty disappointed that I didn't get to see fireworks, but I wasn't really sure what they were anyway! Overall, we had a great weekend, and Brylee was a really good traveler! She slept on the way down there and again on the way back home. So far she is still pretty easy going! We did do fireworks at our house on the 4th and I absolutely loved them! I was unsure of the loud noises at first, but I thought they were so pretty I kept wanting to see more and more!

We are all loving our new family and adjusting with ease! I love my little sister more and more as each day goes by, but I am still waiting for her to be able to play with me! She is not to exciting at the moment that is for sure! Mom and dad are getting used to having a new baby around again and I keep them plenty busy as well! We have been hanging out more at the house now that daddy had to go back to work, but we still find a lot of fun things to do. Mommy and I are really good at playdough, painting, coloring, and building with my blocks! We have gone to the park a few times and also played in the fountains at Zona Rosa a couple of different times. Last weekend we went to Air Zone and I got to play on a bunch of inflatables! I was not to sure of the big slide at first, but daddy went down it with me and after that I was hooked! I think I could have played on the slide for the rest of the day! Yea my little sister is finally here! Brylee was born at 12:21 on Monday afternoon! She weighed 7lbs 6oz and was 20 inches long! She is doing great and I was so excited to finally get to meet her! I immediately wanted to hold her and had plenty of kisses to share...we will see if I still feel the same way once she comes home! Ha! Everyone is doing well and looking forward to getting settled in at home. I can't wait to play with my new sister!

Yesterday, we went to play with Cooper and Ella at their house. They filled up there pool and we all had a great time! I loved swimming and running around their yard. Mom and dad were pretty surprised at how much I loved the small pool, since I am usually not a fan of getting water on my face! Now I can't wait to go swimming in the big pool! Thanks for playing with me Cooper and Ella, I can't wait to do it again. Monday morning, mom and I headed to the park before it got to hot to be outside. I had the whole park to myself and played on everything! Swinging is by far my favorite thing to do...I think I could have stayed in the swing for the rest of the day. I am definitely going to love all the outside time we are going to have this summer!

It is definitely starting to feel like summer around Kansas City! It has been really hot the last few days and now that mom is done working, we get to play outside in my sandbox! I love the sand and make quite a mess of myself! Brandon and Brie are also back for the summer from Alaska and they came down to visit me along with grandpa and grandma on Saturday. I was really excited to finally get to see them again, it had been way to long! The visit was very short, but I know they will be back soon once Brylee is born! I am so excited for my little sister to get here and I keep telling mommy that she is coming very soon! Today I actually told her that Brylee was all done and ready to play cars with me. Mommy and daddy hope I am right and she will be here very soon! The doctors did say that if mommy hasn't had her by the end of this week, they will schedule an induction and we will know when to expect her. I hope she comes before that! :) We are all ready to meet her that is for sure!

We were finally able to travel to Branson this weekend and see B-pa and Grammy's new cabin! They are all moved in and now ready to relax. I had so much fun playing outside all weekend long! The weather was beautiful on Friday and was nice enough to run around Saturday too! We did some shopping and sight seeing, but mostly just relaxed. We had a fire on Saturday night and we had SMORES! Yummy! This was more than likely our last trip out of town until Brylee is born...only a little over 5 weeks left! Thanks for the great weekend B-pa and Grammy!

We traveled to Iowa for Easter weekend and we had a great time! I thought it sounded like a really good idea and I was so excited to go and see the Easter Bunny on Saturday...until I actually had to get close to that scary thing! I did think that it was pretty cool though that something so scary could leave so many fun eggs hiding for me! I really enjoyed going on an Easter Egg hunt and eating the yummy candy that was inside of them! Thanks for a great weekend grandma and grandpa!

Mommy and daddy had Brylee's 3D ultrasound done this morning! She was a little show off and sat right in front of the screen for most of it! They were able to get a lot of great pictures of her and laughed at her funny little attitude already! She really liked having her feet up by her head, but snuggled right in to her hands as she fell asleep. We are getting close and there are about 9 weeks or less before I actually get to meet my baby sister! I hope you enjoy the pictures...there is a lot of me in my little sister from what we can tell!

We are getting closer and closer to my baby sister joining our family! I have been a little more curious about mommy's growing belly and think that it is pretty funny to feel my sister move! I tried to feed her a goldfish the other day, but she didn't want it...guess I will have to wait a little longer! We have been starting to work on her room and the bedding just arrived and we all love it! We have a few things to change that we already had up, but I think my sister is going to love her new room! Mommy, Daddy, and I went to one of daddy's high school friends house last week to watch a basketball game and I got to play with ALEX! I think Alex and i are destined to be together...we got a long and played great together all night! My being the party animal that I am stayed up until we left at 11:30 that night and man did I put on a show for everyone...I had them all laughing until the cried with some of the things that I was saying. I had such a great time and I cannot wait to spend more time with Alex!

St. Patrick's Day!

We had some beautiful weather for St. Patrick's Day! Mommy and I were on Spring Break and daddy was able to come home early that day and join us for a walk in Parkville! I have been down there a few times, but I have never been lucky enough to see the train that goes through there...but I finally saw it! I thought that it was one of the coolest things that I have ever seen and I even got the conductor to wave at me! I was so excited and screamed with joy until he blew the loud horn then I thought that was a little scary! After we saw the train, we stopped in for a little treat and I had my very own ice cream cone! It was the perfect size and I ate every last drop! I cannot wait for the weather to stay warm so we can have more days like this one!

Grammy and B-pa were in town for the weekend and we decided to all head down to union station to check out the model trains! I love trains and had so much fun watching all of the different trains go around all of the tracks! I could hardly contain myself the first train that I saw I just had to let out one of my famous Kalee screams that we all know so well! It was pretty cool looking at all of the different ways that the trains were set up. I especially likes when they would go in one end of a tunnel and come out the other. I was also able to help daddy color a picture of a train and play with Cooper and some toy trains. After the trains, we all grabbed lunch and then spent the rest of the day playing at Uncle Brent's and Aunt Cortney's. It was a great day!

Well it has been quite awhile since I have posted anything! We really have not been to busy around here...just cooped up with a lot of snow it seems! Mommy and I had quite a few snow days together in January and beginning of February...daddy even had to stay at home with us a few days because it was too dangerous to be driving to work! We did finally get to go and visit Grammy and B-pa in St. Charles and we had a great time! We didn't do a whole lot but it was so much fun to just be able to play! I have gotten to go bowling twice in the lat week and I think that I am pretty hot stuff! I talk about bowling all of the time! The weather seems to be pretty nice right now and mommy and I even spent some time outside! I love to be outside and I cannot wait until Spring arrives and we can be out there even more! My little sister is doing good...at least that is what mommy tells me. I just wish she would get here already so I would know exactly who this person is that everyone keeps talking about! About 4 more months to go! I cannot wait to be a big sister! Grammy and B-pa and coming into town this weekend! I can't wait to get to play!

Well, I have been telling mommy and daddy for a very long time now that I was going to have a little sister and today we found out! I was right! I am going to have a LITTLE SISTER! She measured perfectly but is a little on the stubborn side! She buried herself during the sonogram and didn't really care to be messed with at all! She would even be poised to kick when the wand would get close to her! Daddy is sure going to have his hands full! This weekend when I was laying on mommy, I could feel the baby kicking me in the face. I didn't know it was the baby so of course I told mommy to stop hitting me and mommy just smiled...something tells me that it wasn't the last time that will happen! As of right now they are leaving mommy's due date as June 20, but I sure hope she comes a little sooner than that. She is weighing in at a whole 9 oz right now! I also named the baby for mommy and daddy, but they really don't agree with my choice of name...if you ask me, her name is Zoey! Mom and dad say they will keep that in the running!

Snow Day!

Wow! We sure did get a lot of snow last week! It started on Monday and it didn't stop until Tuesday. I woke up on Monday morning and I thought that the whole world was covered in soap! I just didn't understand what had happened to the grass and trees. Dad had to go into work, but mom had a snow day so we headed out to play. This was my first time being in snow this year and I thought it was pretty cool as long as I didn't have to sit down in it by myself! We played outside with the dogs and threw snow at each other...I loved it! We went back out that night once daddy was home and I helped him shovel our driveway...the snow was really deep by then! Tuesday it was way to cold for anyone to be out so we just stayed inside and were lazy all day! Wednesday was another snow day, but this one was not nearly as fun. I got the flu and man it wiped me out. I threw up all day Wednesday and ended up at Children's Mercy that evening so that they could help me keep fluids down. It took me until Monday to actually get up off with couch and muster up a smile. But the good news is that I am back to feeling much better and ready for our next round of snow this week!

I have had a very wonderful and busy Christmas! Grammy and B-Pa Mayhew came to my house and Wednesday and we all were able to get together and celebrate our Christmas. Uncle Brent wasn't able to make it because he was very sick and we sure did miss him! I got a lot of GREAT toys and had such a fun time! Thursday morning I went to Nebraska with Grammy and B-Pa and got to spend a little extra time with Great Grandpa and GiGi. They couldn't believe their eyes when I got out of the car...I have grown a lot since the last time that they saw me! Christmas Eve was Great Grandpa and GiGi's 60th wedding anniversary so we all went out to eat to celebrate. Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper, Ella, my great aunt and uncle and my second cousin were all able to join us as well. Before we went to church that night, I dressed up in my pretty dress and fancy shoes! I loved being so dressed up! After church we opened more presents! I really liked being a big girl and being able to open all of my presents all by myself! On Christmas day, we had a big family lunch and then I headed back home with daddy and mommy. It was a great holiday and I had so much fun visiting with so many people that I don't get to see very often! I sure hope everyone had a wonderful holiday as well!

I just had an absolutely amazing weekend! Grandpa and Grandma Mayhew rented a log home for the weekend in Branson and we were all able to spend the weekend together! Brent, Cortney, Cooper and Ella were there too so it was definitely a full house! We set off early Friday morning and I have ever done on the car ride down there. I was in a great mood the whole time and was SUPER excited to see who was waiting for me when we arrived! Friday afternoon we spend outside running around and playing it felt great to be free after the long drive! I played ball, climbed rocks, ran down a steep hill, and even did a little cleaning! Late that afternoon it was time for all of the adults to act like kids! You should have seen everyone when it came time to riding go carts! I really thought that I was going to be lucky enough, but I have to grow 3 more inches...maybe by next year. While they all rode the go cart, Ella, Grandma, and I rode on some smaller kid size rides. I thought they were great but I also thought watching everyone go by on the go cart was hilarious too! I screamed as loud at I could every time! Once go-cart were over, we headed back to the house to relax and bbq some dinner. It was a great night! Saturday was even more fun! I went to the fish hatchery in the early afternoon and took in all of the sights that were there, then it was back to the house for a nap. After nap, we headed to Silver Dollar City! This place was amazing! We arrive3d just in time for the Christmas lighting ceremony! I was great I loved all of the singing and the pretty lights! After that we walked around and looked at all of the cool things. I even got to go on a ride where you float in a boat, but it scared me to death and I couldn't wait to be finished! After that, we went on a train ride and a smile never left my face. I couldn't believe that I was actually riding on a real choo-choo! The train stopped in the middle of the woods and the most amazing story teller told us the story of Christmas through song and lights. I was great, I could have listened to him all night! After that, once again it was time for the adults to have their fun. So daddy, grandpa, Brent, and Cortney rode a few of the roller coaster that are at the park. I had a great time watching all of the people that were walking by. I was such a good girl the entire night! I was so sad for the weekend to end, but I know next year will be even more fun because I will get to ride those go-carts! Thanks for such an amazing time and some amazing memories grandpa and grandma!

What a GREAT weekend! We traveled to Nebraska on Saturday and I got to spend the day with Cooper, Grammy, and my Great Aunt Sandy while mommy, daddy, grandpa, and uncle Brent went to the Nebraska football game! On Sunday, we carved my pumpkins and then it was time to Trick-or-Treat! Mommy wasn't so sure if I would really get into it this year since I can be shy around people I don't know, but man I sure proved her wrong! We had a great time and I went to every house in our neighborhood that had their lights on! I learned pretty quick that if you give em a smile they can't resist and say something cute you get some "extra" candy in your bucket! I also learned really quick that I was much better at choosing my own candy instead of letting people give it to me. I was also so excited to see a package of M&M's going into my bucket! My favorite for sure! I think I could have went Trick-or-Treating all night...I sure can't wait to go again next year!

We had a very busy week and weekend! I was able to spend time with Uncle Brandon and Aunt Brie who had flown in from Alaska for Great Grandma's funeral. It was sure great getting to see them...it had been tooo long! I will hopefully get to see them again sometime over Christmas. I spent a lot of time outside seeing some pretty cool animals. We went to 2 farms where I saw sheep, turkeys, chickens, kitten, and miniature horses! I also went horse back riding on a BIG horse! I love animals and I am not afraid of any of them! We also went to the pumpkin patch and I got another pumpkin to take home! What a great time!

I have had a lot of fun the past two weekends! We have spent a lot of time with Cooper, Ella, Uncle Brent, and Aunt Cortney. Last weekend we went to the winery, but it was a cold and rainy day, so we lasted through one winery, but headed back to Cooper and Ella's house after that. That night, it just wouldn't stop raining, so we braved the weather, dressed in our warm clothes and had a fire in their fire pit! We made smores and they were yummy! This weekend, Grandpa and Grandma Mayhew were in town to watch all of the grandkids while the parents went to a pub crawl on Saturday. I was pretty excited to see them on Friday and all I wanted to do was play, play, play! On Sturday, grandma, grandpa, Cooper, Ella, and I all headed out to the pumpkin patch! There was a petting zoo, tractor ride, pumpkins, and apples to pick! We had a a great time and I am really excited to see my pumpkin outside our front door everytime I walk past!
On a very sad note, my Great Grandma Hartman passed away early Saturday morning. She was a wonderful person that loved me more than the day was long. The one thing that she always wanted in life was to be able to meet her Great Grandkids. I am so thankful that in the last year and a half she had been able to watch me grow and change. We will be traveling to Iowa this week so please keep our family in your prayers!

I have officially become one of the goofiest kids that mom and dad know! I love to play tricks on you and attack you for a tickle when you least expect it! I have a growing obsession with putting clothes on the wrong parts of my body and parading around the house laughing at myself. As mom and dad would say, there is never a dull moment with me around! I have had a great last two weeks and the weather isn't so hot anymore so I have had a lot of time to play outside. Cooper and Ella came over last week one night and we played outside until the sun went down. I also went to Alex's first birthday party over the weekend and played at a big park! I was really hot at the party, but we all had a great time!

Can you believe that I am already 18 months old! I had a great weekend in Iowa this past weekend! We played outside and went to the zoo! Mommy doesn't have any of the pictures ready quite yet, but she will post those later! I am adding a video of me singing and doing some letter sounds! I am really starting to pick upon the sounds that the letters make and I think I am able to recognize at least 12 of them! The video only shows a few because those of you that know me, know that I can't stay in one place for too long! I hope you enjoy the video!

Not to much has been going on since mom and I have gone back to work and to Jen's house. I have been fighting almost 2 weeks solid of having a cold and then a virus, but I think I am finally over that and back on the path of destruction! I did get my first ever haircut last weekend and it wasn't to terribly bad. I got to sit in a cool jeep and eat a sucker while they trimmed everything up. I was fine with everything until they went to trim my bangs and I saw the dreaded scissors in front of my face and I completely lost it! It took three adults to hold me still enough just to get my bang even! I think mom and dad may let my bangs grow out from now on! This weekend, I got to spend the night at Jen's while mom and dad went to the Chief football game! I am so lucky to have Jen in my life, she is definitely one in a million! Mom and dad were grateful too, they had a lot of fun and knew they didn't have to worry about me! Have a great week everyone!

These past few weeks have been SO busy! Mommy and I went to St. Charles early one week and then daddy flew in on Friday to spend the weekend with us. I had so much fun swimming, shopping, visiting Grandpa at work, and going to Grant's Farm! I still was not to sure of the pool our first day there, but by Saturday I was an old pro! I would even float by myself and put my face in the water to blow bubbles! As soon as I would wake up in the morning, I would ask to go swimming! We went to Grant's Farm on Saturday morning and that was so much fun! I fed baby goats, rode on the Farris Wheel and saw a lot of animals that I read about in my books. I did such a good job walking around and looking at everything, I just couldn't get enough of it! I can't wait to visit there again! The following weekend daddy went out of town with Uncle Brent and Grandpa, so Grammy stayed with us. We did a lot of shopping again!! Cooper also spent the night with us for 2 nights! Ella and Aunt Cortney came over to play too! Cooper and I did a lot of swimming, building with blocks and chasing each other up and down the hallway! Mommy had to go back to work this week so summer has officially ended, but I sure had a great time! I am pretty excited to see all of my friends at Jen's house, it has been a long time!

17 Months

Well, we traveled to Iowa 2 weekends ago for Uncle Brandon and Aunt Brie's last weekend in Iowa before their big move to Alaska! We had a great time visiting and the weather was actually perfect for the big bbq! I had a great time running around and playing outside the whole day! Sunday was a sad day when we had to say goodbye to them. It is hard to believe that I am not going to be able to see them until next May! I am going to be a whole different kiddo by then. But non the less, I know this is a wonderful experience for them and that we will be in touch over the phone and by our blogs! This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa Good came down. We did a lot of playing and a little bit of shopping too! Grandpa and Daddy got the basement all put back together so now I have my playroom back! Whoo hoo time for some more toys!! This week mom and I are driving to St. Charles to stay for the week and then daddy is going to fly in on Friday to stay the weekend as well! I can't wait to shop, swim, and play with grandpa and grandma! I turn 17 months this week and I seem to grow and change everyday! I have really started putting words together when I am talking and we are really working on climbing to the highest point possible where ever I am! I am such a little stinker!!

Goodness has it been busy around here! I am having such a great summer and it is going by way to fast! In the past two weeks, I have done a lot of fun things! I went to a surprise birthday party for a friend of daddy's that he works with and I was non-stop moving the entire time! I think mom and dad were more wore out than I was by the time we left. But it was a great party and she was really surprised! I also have done a lot of shopping and even went swimming with mommy and Jen's girl one day. I did pretty good when it came to swimming and jumped quite a few times off the edge to mom. Uncle Brandon came down and stayed the weekend with us and I sure did have a lot of fun playing with him while he was here! We also went to Cooper's 3rd birthday party and grandpa and grandma Mayhew were there too! I was pretty surprised when the car door opened and there they were waiting to see me! I had a great time at the party and even more fun that evening when it was just the family sitting around playing with Cooper's new toys! My cousins and I are really getting close to each other and we love being able to play together! Sunday was Daddy's birthday and we all had a great day together. Uncle Brandon even stayed most of the day and played too! We went to eat that night and had a great time as a family! Happy Birthday Daddy! I LOVE you!!

What a fantastic weekend! I had so much fun in St. Charles hanging out with everyone, swimming, going down a really big slide, and watching fireworks. We did a lot of swimming and even though I am still not a huge fan of the pool, I did get in quite a bit and I really liked when mommy and I would chase daddy around the pool. I was never brave enough to put my face in the water, but I did put on a jacket that helped me float all by myself. On Saturday, we went to one of mommy's friends house for a bbq and I had a great time playing with Megan and Ethan. That night we went to Main Street St.Charles and I was able to go on a really big slide at their carnival. We also stayed for the fireworks and I LOVED every minute of those. I thought that they were some of the most beautiful flowers that I had ever seen! On the 4th, we stayed around the house and I played all day with Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper and Ella. That night we ate ribs and corn on the cob and then watch some fireworks with mommy and uncle Brent's old neighbor. I HATED those fireworks! No one told me that after they make all of their pretty colors they end with a huge explosion! I thought my life had come to an end at one point! Needless to say, we didn't stay too long! I really did have a great time visiting and maybe next time around I will try to be a little more brave in the pool. Oh yeah, one more thing...my binkis have all magically disappeared and mom and dad just keep saying that they can't find them, so if anyone out there has a stray binki laying around this girl would sure appreciate it. Mom and dad also keep telling me that I am a big girl and don't need them anymore, but I am sure trying to change their minds about that! Wish me luck in my binkiless world!

Well my Great Grandpa had a triple by-pass and it went well. He is still in ICU, but they are hopeful that he will be able to go home soon. I cannot wait to go up to Nebraska and visit him once he is feeling a little bit better! This was a pretty easy going week. It has been way to hot to go outside so mom has been making me play inside during the afternoons. I got to help her make some play-dough and that was a lot of fun. I am such a good helper when it comes to stirring! I really liked playing with the play-dough too! I also saw that she brought home some paints, bingo dobbers, cookie cutters, and some other fun stuff for us to do and explore this summer! I have also mastered the art of climbing onto everything! I can get pretty creative to when I am just not tall enough to get onto something. Mom and dad had to raise my kitchen up to the next level because I decided that it was much more fun to stand on than play with. Mom and dad went to the Cardinals vs. Royals game on Sunday and I got to go and play with my cousins, Uncle Brent, and Aunt Cortney! I had a great time at their house we are all getting so big and we are actually starting to play with each other! At the end of this week we will be going to St. Charles for the rest of the week and all weekend! Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper and Ella are also going to be there! We are going to relax by the pool, play outside, bbq, visit with friends, and watch some fireworks! I cannot wait!! I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!

I had a really fun weekend! Friday I went swimming with one of mommy's friends and her 2 little girls. I loved jumping off of the side and splashing in the water! Saturday, we played at our house and then we met Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper and Ella for dinner. We also went to what we thought was going to be a festival with some rides, but it didn't end up that way...which was a bummer, but it was still fun being able to hang out with them! Sunday was Father's day and we went to Watkins Mill State Park. We had never been up there, so we decided to see what it was all about. At the park you can camp, picnic, play on a playground, hike, bike, and swim! We went down to the beach for a little while and went swimming. The water felt great and once again I had a blast splashing around! That evening we threw some steaks on the grill and ended the night relaxing. I had a great weekend and I am glad I have such a wonderful daddy to celebrate Father's Day with!

We traveled to Iowa for the weekend and I was able to play with Grandma and Uncle Brandon. Mommy and daddy went out with friends and had a great time while I stayed at Grandma's house. We had a lot of fun playing outside and going to walks. I love to be outside and it is very hard to get me to come in without a fight! There was a lot of rain while we were up there so I did have to stay in some of the time. Grandpa was out of town, but he did stay the night at our house on his way to Georgia and then again on his way home. Grandma Mayhew also stopped by on two different days as she was traveling through to Nebraska. I love when we have company! My Great Grandpa Hynek has to have bi-pass surgery next week, so if you could say a little prayer for him, I know it will help. I can't wait until I get to see him again and his heart is fixed to so we can play!

I had a great start to my weekend! Jen took me swimming in her neighborhood pool on Friday and I had a great time! I played in the big pool, splashed, and rode around in a float. I cannot wait to go swimming again! Friday night mommy, daddy, and I went to a Mustang's baseball game. It was really really hot when we first got to the game but then a thunderstorm came through and cooled everything off! I absolutely loved running and dancing in the rain. At first I was not sure exactly what was falling on my head, but after awhile I couldn't get enough of it. I was soaked by the time it was over. All of the adults hid under some tents...they didn't know how much fun they were missing! Once the rain cleared and the game started again, I was off and running! I ran around the stadium for over two hours non-stop! Everyone was impressed with the amount of energy that I had and that I was happy and content the whole time. I even got to go and see where the players were and they all thought I was pretty special as well. I turned a few heads that night! A few even told my mom and dad that they were going to be in trouble when I get older! I have my 15 month check-up tomorrow so we will see how much I have grown in the last 3 months! What a fantastic Memorial weekend! Saturday, we set out and went to the Zoo! I had an amazing time and couldn't believe that all of those animals that I read about in books are actually real! I was so excited every time we would come up to a new animal that I could barely stay in my stroller! We all had a wonderful time and I took in everything and anything that was going on! At the end of the day, there was a sheep that could smell my snack in my stroller and he ate all of my whales! I thought that was pretty hilarious...so did everyone that was watching! I fed a small horse too, but I wasn't to sure what to think when he put my fingers in his mouth! I think my favorite animal was the lions, but the monkeys were a lot of fun to watch too! I cannot wait to go back and visit again! Saturday, we filled up my little pool and we all relaxed and soaked up the sun! I was having a great time until I went under and I think I drank half of the pool! After that, I wasn't to brave anymore and sat with mom or dad instead of exploring...but I think eventually I will love it! I really had a great time this weekend with mom and dad. It was pretty relaxing, just doing whatever we wanted. The weather was perfect too! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

This weekend we went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Mayhew! Mom and dad had tickets to the Cardinal's game so that meant I got to stay and play all day with grandma and grandpa! Mom and dad had a great time together and I loved playing and shopping all day! I was really excited to see grandpa and grandma's pool open, but it was still way to cold to get in! We are going to have to visit again really soon, because I think it looked like a lot of fun! After the game, some of mommy's friends and their families came over with all of their kids! We had a great time playing with all of the toys! The last time we all were able to get together with the kids was when I was 6 weeks old! We have all grown and changed a little since them. It was a lot of fun getting everyone together, I sure hope we can do that again soon I think I could have some best buds out of that group! Thanks for a great weekend!

Remembering Great Grandma Mayhew

My Great Grandma Mayhew passed away on Thursday after a long hard fight. I was lucky enough to have shared some wonderful memories with her in the last year. Her and I had a special connection and she would light up when I walked through the door to see her. No matter what we going on in her life, every time I said, "Hi" to her she would look my way and give me love right back. She even knew I was there when she was in a state that doctors were unsure of. We traveled to Nebraska this weekend to celebrate her life. Each time we would pray at the funeral and amen was said, I would always say it after everyone had finished, that way Grandma was able to hear just me talking to her. The Pastor said that there is no greater sound at a funeral than a baby's laugh or cry to remind us that life continues and that Great Grandma lives through us. I made sure everyone that day was able to see that Great Grandma will forever live through me. I cannot wait till I am a little older and I can hear all of the wonderful stories of Great Grandma's life. She was loved by all and gave herself to anyone and everyone. She is definitely someone we will cherish forever. As the funeral was about to begin, I look at Great Grandma for the last time and on my own I said, "Night, night" and blew a kiss her way...I know she took that one to heaven with her! Great Grandma, you will be missed more than you know, say hi to Great Grandpa for me!

Cars, Sickness, and a Party!

My goodness it has been a busy past couple of weeks! Mom and dad have been wanting to get a new car that was a little bit more family friendly, so we set out on our expedition. They ended up getting the exact car that they were looking for and I sure love sitting next to the window and seeing everything going on. While we were waiting to get the car we went to the mall where I was able to burn a little energy and play in their play area. While at the mall, I was able to ride on their riding toys, which was so much fun! That same weekend, I ended up starting to run a pretty high fever and after 2 days of it, we went to the doctor and they said that I had a small ear infection. They put me on Amox and that night my fever topped out at 105.1! I was a miserable mess! The next day, I broke out in hives all over...guess I am allergic to my medicine :(. I had to stay at home all week because my fever would not break, I was covered in a horrible rash and had hives all over to top everything off. Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew thought that I needed a little cheering up so they stopped by on Friday and brought me my first car! I love to get in and out of it...can't wait to actually take it outside to play! Saturday was Ella's first birthday and I was ready to party! I was such a big girl all day long and I had a great time at the party! I loved the special time that I spent with Great Grandpa and Grandma too! At the party I even learned how to jump on Cooper's big boy bed! It was a great weekend and I had a lot of fun hanging out with all of the family once the party was over! Happy Birthday Ella...we are that much closer to getting into a lot of trouble together!

The weather this weekend was absolutely gorgeous! We were out and about all day on Saturday and then I was able to go to Uncle Brent's and Aunt Cortney's house to play with them and with Cooper and Ella. I had a great time playing at their house and climbing on everything! On Sunday, we went to the park and played in the sunshine! I love to go down the slide all by myself and swinging is pretty fun too! Now that I can walk, there are so many new things to see and do that I am always on the go. I did fall down at the park and got my first real big time boo-boo right between my eyes on my forehead. I fell right into the wall that goes around the park head first! Ouch it sure did hurt and the whole park and surrounding neighborhoods knew it! I had a great time this weekend and I sure hope this weather will stick around for awhile!

We finally had a nice weekend to play outside! Saturday morning, we drove to Nebraska to get a few things from Great Grandma's house and we also were able to visit as well! I had a great time playing with Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew, Great Grandma and Grandpa Hynek, and my Great Aunt Sandy! Great Grandma and Grandpa have not seen me for quite awhile since they spend the winter in Texas and they thought that I had grown by leaps and bounds! They also thought that I was a little bit of a live wire! Ha! Saturday night, I got to spend time with Grandpa and Grandma and my cousins back at my house. Mommy and daddy went out for mom's birthday so I got to have fun at home! It was so much fun chasing my cousins around the house, playing with all of my toys and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma. Easter was pretty relaxed around the house. The Easter Bunny did sneak in at some point last night and left me a basket with a few surprises! We were able to go outside and play that afternoon in the sunshine and I could have stayed out there forever. Now that I have definitely decided that walking the way to go, I can get to so many different places! I have also mastered the art of going up and down the stairs with no problem at all! I have you all had a blessed Easter!

A Day at the Park!

TIMEOUT...does anyone else think that the word timeout is overrated? I had to visit timeout a few times this week and it really isn't all that it is cracked up to be! Mom and dad tell me that it is not nice of me to hit when I am angry so I had to sit in timeout and think about it, but really I just sat there and told them what a terrible idea timeout was. I have been doing a little better with my temper, but when things don't go right I will be sure to let you know it! But on the brighter side, I did get to go to the park on Thursday when the weather was absolutely gorgeous and walk around. I had so much fun watching the water go under the bridge, looking at all of the birds and trees and getting some fresh air! Friday was another nice day and I was able to be outside again riding my bike as well. When I woke up on Saturday, I couldn't believe what I saw...lots and lots of snow again! Yuck I thought that it was supposed to be getting warmer and we were done with snow...I sure hope that was the last one for the year! Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew were also in town this weekend and they came over and played with me too. I love when I have people come and visit me, I always have such a great time. Well, I am going back to Jen's this week after spending Spring Break with mom...I am pretty excited to see all of my friends again! I hope everyone has a great week...looks like the weather should be pretty nice around here!

Spring is in the air and I love to be outside! We spent a few nights outside riding my bike, playing ball, and coloring with chalk! It rained the last part of the week so we were inside again and I was not to happy about that, but this week is supposed to be beautiful! I have been walking a lot as well even though I am still much faster if I crawl! We had a very relaxing weekend and we read a lot of books, sang Twinkle Twinkle (my favorite song) over and over and played ball with the dogs too! I am starting to get the hang of throwing the ball to them. Most of the time it will go straight up and land on my head or behind me, but they are patient with me until I get it right and it goes in front of me. Mommy and daddy think that I have been talking up a storm lately! I am putting 2-3 words together sometimes and I am not afraid to tell you what I think! One of my new favorite things to say is, "Naked Baby!" I say this as I walk down the hallway for my bath. Mom and dad say that it is cute to say now, but later it won't be so appropriate! On Monday, mom and I went to Nebraska for the day to visit with Great Grandma. She was excited to see me and said that I had grown so much since the last time that she had seen me. I talked to her and told her that her flowers were "pretty", her wheel chair was "oh wow", and that their were "birds" outside her window. I also told her to be careful because the chili she was about to eat was "hot!" After visiting with Great Grandma, we stopped at my Great Aunts house to play as well. She watches kids in her home so there was a lot for me to do! All of the kids that were there followed me around everywhere! I think I might be a born leader! I hope everyone is enjoying the change in weather as much as I am and I hope you all have a great rest of the week!

I celebrated my first birthday this week and had a great time! We went out to dinner for my birthday and all of the waiters and waitresses sang to me! I wasn't sure what all of the commotion was about at first but loved the singing and clapping! We also met Ryan, Courtney and Alex for dinner and Alex was checking me out! We make a pretty cute couple if I do say so myself! On Thursday, I had my one year doctors appointment and I weighed 21 lbs and was 33 inches tall! I am in the 90th percentile for height and 50th for weight! This weekend, we traveled to St. Charles to see Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew. Mom and dad had a wedding to go to and I got to go to party with Grandma and Grandpa! I had such a great time playing with them and hanging out this weekend! Sunday was an absolutely beautiful day and once we were back in Kansas City, we all went to the park to play and then grilled dinner and even ate outside! I love being outside and playing, I cannot wait until spring and summer get here and we can do that every night! I am still working on walking and in fact this afternoon, I was playing in my room and walked across my room, out my door, and started down the hallway! I am getting the hang of it that is for sure! I hope everyone was able to enjoy some sunshine this weekend! Have a great week!

We celebrated my first birthday this weekend and I had a blast! I was able to celebrate with both sets of grandparents, all of my aunts and uncles, my cousins, and some friends! We had a great time and I LOVED my cake! Mommy and daddy had a Mickey Mouse party for me and I was so excited to see a huge Mickey Mouse balloon in my house, but not excited enough to get to close to him. I was so lucky to have gotten all of my wonderful gifts and I am thankful for each and everyone of them. Thank you to everyone that come yesterday to help me celebrate...it is still so hard for everyone to believe that it has already been a year since I was born. My real birthday is on Wednesday and mom and dad said I could have more cake then...man I can't wait!

I had such a great weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew came to visit this weekend and we had so much fun! Grandpa had to go to Nebraska on Friday, but Grandma stayed in town and we went shopping and played all day long! It snowed the biggest flakes I had ever seen on Friday and I thought it was absolutely amazing! I kept trying to catch them, but they would just disappear. Saturday, grandpa came back from Nebraska and we all went over to Uncle Brent's house. It was so much fun playing with everyone! Grandpa wouldn't let me to far out of his sight and that was fine with me...he's a pretty fun guy! I also played with Cooper and his Thomas the Train, that was sure a lot of fun watching it go round and round. Sunday it snowed all day long! Mom and dad took me out in it, but I really didn't have very much fun out there. It was cold and windy and the small little flakes kept getting in my eyes. I sat in the snow for a little while and watched Maddie run around, but I didn't last very long. When I came back inside, I decided that it was much more fun to watch it snow through the window. Mommy and daddy have been really wondering about me and when I will decide to walk. I wasn't to interested until Sunday came around and now I think I am pretty hot stuff walking back and forth between things! I can even go from sitting on the floor, to standing, to walking a few steps! I don't go to far yet, but with a little more practice I will be running! Oh yeah, make sure you check out my pictures below and see what I did to the hallway while mommy and daddy weren't looking! HA! Have I mentioned that I am quite a handful!

I have had a busy and very fun last 2 weeks! My cousins came over one night to play and then I got to go to their house to watch the Super Bowl! I have also been on the go more so now than ever! Mom and dad sure have their hands full! HA! I had a great First Valentine's Day and even had a party at Jen's house this week. At the party I was able to have my very first cupcake and I loved it! Yikes! It has been a rough last week. I was so sick last week and weekend, but I think I am finally starting to turn the corner! The doctors said that I had a nasty virus and they were not kidding! Mom and dad got a lot of extra cuddle time with me, but they were also ready for me to bring back my spunky little attitude and to play again. We have really had a pretty quite last few weeks and it has been nice to just hang out and do nothing for a little while as well. I hope everyone is having a great week...can you believe I am getting so close to turning 1! Only another month! WOW!

10 Months!

Mom and I got to spend an extra week together because of all of the snow and cold weather! We had a lot of fun hanging out and playing with all of my new toys. There was one day where she let me make my first painting master piece and I am quite the artist if I do say so myself! I loved mixing the colors and spreading it all over my canvas! I even thought that the toilet needed a little color added to it and painted that as well. Of course I couldn't let the paint go to waste that was not needed on my canvas, so my body was also painted! I used a paintbrush for a little while and although I thought it was definitely something that should have gone in my mouth I really did a good job holding onto it and painting. Mom posted the video of me painting and she really apologizes for having to watch it sideways, she really wasn't paying attention to what she was doing! If you listen closely you will hear me being quite the chatter box! i love to talk and I have a vocabulary that is increasing daily! My favorite thing to do right now is to count to 3! I hope everyone enjoys the video and some of my 10 month pics! Have a great week!

We have had a very busy week this week! We traveled to St. Charles to have Christmas and celebrate New Years with Grandpa and Grandma Mayhew, Uncle Brent, Aunt Cortney, Cooper and Ella. We had a lot of presents to open and man I got some really fun toys! On New Years, we celebrated for a little while with Grandma and Grandpa's neighbors but then I had to go home because it was way past my bed time! Maybe next year I will make it till 12:00! My vocabulary has really expanded this week and I have added so many new words, I can now say...thank you, Elmo, Ella, drink, daddy, mommy, Maddie, binki, Mickey, baba, puppy, kitty, tree, hi, up, uh oh, papa, and quack quack! I stopped showing an interest in walking for a little while, but I am right back at it now. For some reason I don't have a lot of confidence to do it on my own but if you trick me into it, I will take a few steps all by myself! I am getting to be such a big girl! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years and I cannot wait to see what 2010 has in store for me and my family! Thank you grandpa and grandma, I had such a great time playing this weekend!

A Christmas Eve miracle!

The true meaning of Christmas couldn't have been felt or witnessed more than it was for all of us. My Great Grandma Hartman became very sick on Christmas Eve and had a massive stroke. The doctors did not have a lot of good news to share with us and there were a lot of hard decisions that has to be made. Once we received the phone call, we all made our way to the hospital to be with Great Grandma and to let her know that we loved her and were thinking about her. As there was not much improvement as the night went on, we decided that it was time to say our goodbyes and leave her in the hands of God. As I was in the room with all of the family and extended family, I sat next to Great Grandma and started talking to her. As I did, she became responsive and showed more strength and improvement than we had seen all night long. I waved to her and by a shear miracle, she started waving back. My next trick was to blow her a kiss. As I did that, she caught my kiss and stuck it to her face! It was nothing short of amazing what we were all witnessing. All my Great Grandma has ever wanted is for her and I to share a special moment of play together and I truly believed we had that connection at that moment. You could feel the love and warmth that encompassed everyone that was in her room that night. We witnessed the love and spirit that Christmas was all about. We went home that night with happy hearts and a hope for a better tomorrow and no one even thought about the gifts that were under the tree...

Christmas was finally here and I was able to tear into all of the gifts that everyone had been telling me not to touch for so long. We had a good day with everyone and really felt blessed to be able to share it with friends and family. Grandma was still holding her own and the good news kept coming.

Before we left to come back home, we stopped by to see Great Grandma again and she was starting to move her right side, was responsive, and was trying to talk even through it was extremely difficult. She told me she loved me before we left and I told her the same.

When we finally were back home, there were even more gifts waiting for me. I am such a lucky girl to have so many people that love and care about me. My first Christmas was a good one and thank you to everyone that has given me gifts so far. We will be traveling to St. Charles later this week to share Christmas once again with Grandma and Grandpa Mayhew. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday so far and I cannot wait to party it up on New Years Eve!

This time, my post isn't about me! Mom and dad went on their honeymoon to St. Lucia and I wanted to share some of their beautiful pictures with everyone. Just looking at them warms me up and makes me forget about all of this yucky weather. They had a wonderful time and really were able to enjoy every minute. Thanks grandpa and grandma for watching me!
